Dr. Jim Davis
Dr. Jim Davis graduated in 1986
from
Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft.
Worth. He completed his internship at Rocky
Mountain Osteopathic Hospital in Denver. For the
past 17 years, Dr. Davis has integrated
Maharishi Ayurveda into his holistic General
Medical practice. For several of those years, he
served as Medical Director of the Dallas Center
for Chronic Disorders, which offered the
Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health for patients
with chronic illnesses. During that time he had
the opportunity to work directly with numerous
Vaidyas (Ayurvedic doctors from India ).
Dr. Davis is an adjunct faculty member for the
Maharishi College of Vedic Medicine, teaching medical
professionals how to integrate Ayurvedic principles into their
practices. He always enjoys the opportunity to teach these
principles to yoga students and teachers as well.
He has the ability to inspire his students' interest
in Ayurveda and to stimulate their desire to explore Ayurveda (a
subject that is not well known even among long time yoga
practitioners) in greater depth. Our students often seek individual
consultations with Dr. Davis when he is in Dallas, in order to know
themselves more deeply and to improve their health and well-being.
Dr. Davis has taught foundational Ayurvedic
information to Namaste' USA students since 2003. They benefit
greatly from being able to study with him. Namaste' USA Yoga Teacher
Training is fortunate and happy to have him as part of our Adjunct
Faculty.
Currently, Dr. Davis serves as Director of the
Austin Peace Palace and Maharishi Enlightenment Center and continues
his Holistic General Medical Practice in Austin, Dallas, and the
Woodlands. In addition, he is now the Medical Director for Maharishi
Ayurveda Products International, the premier provider of authentic
Ayurveda herbal formulas worldwide.
